Customer Situation
A Tier 2 consulting firm and a formidable challenger to the Big Four, has been striving to elevate its directors to managing directors, aligning leadership and sales capacities with its growth ambitions. With established operations in India and the Middle East, the organisation engaged in executive coaching to bolster the directors’ readiness for higher responsibilities. This focus was not only on leadership to better manage teams but also on enhancing business acquisition capabilities, crucial for every managing director expected to significantly contribute to business growth.
What We Did
Recognizing the need for a structured development path, the organisation and our team initiated the Leadership Track Program (LTP), an 18-month journey designed to prepare directors for promotion to managing director roles. This comprehensive program included workshops, coaching, mentoring, and industry interactions. Our involvement expanded to conducting workshops aimed at refining skills in business development and client engagement, crucial for consultants who often handle both sales and project execution. The workshops were tailored to address specific challenges faced by the directors, such as improving negotiation skills, building transformative relationships, and leading strategic client conversations. These sessions were crafted to be intensely practical, focusing on real-world applications and interactive learning to engage experienced professionals.
The Outcome
The LTP has been highly successful, with participants reporting significant improvements in their strategic sales skills and leadership capabilities. Directors are now better equipped to pursue and close larger deals, reflecting a stronger alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals of business growth and leadership readiness. The program has not only enhanced the directors’ abilities to engage effectively at the C-suite level but also fostered a more collaborative approach to business development across the firm’s practices. This transformation is anticipated to drive the organisation’s growth and increase its competitive edge in the consulting industry.
